Groom it Like Beckham: L’Oreal’s House 99

House 99 a grooming brand by Fashion and Football icon David Beckham was aptly named after some of the most memorable moments in the man’s life 1999 saw the day Beckham married Victoria, Son Brooklyn was born and naturally homage to his roots the very year Manchester United won a treble of trophies.

House 99 will officially launch in 19 countries on March 4, in collaboration with L’Oréal Beckham will launch a freestanding 21-product capsule collection, ranging between R180.00 and R390.00.

Think moisturizer, beard balm, tattoo moisturizer with SPF 30 (one of Beckham’s personal faves), shaving cream (in foam and stick form), shampoo, conditioner, and a shaping pomade.

“I’m so excited to finally share House 99 with everyone around the world! For me, grooming is not only about how you look, but how you feel. It’s about being comfortable, trying new things and shaping your next look,”

-Beckham said in a statement on January 9th.

“I created House 99 to give people the inspiration as well as the right products to experiment and feel completely at home doing so. House 99 is here to support men, to give them the tools they need to create whatever look they are going for.”

The brand is inspired by British barber shops as well as Beckham’s own favourite products, starting out with 21 products across skincare, haircare, bodycare and grooming, ranging from the Bold Statement Tattoo Body Moisturizer to the Softer Touch Beard Oil.

Quinoa and spirulina are at the heart of the formulas, chosen specifically by Beckham for their reputation as health-boosting ingredients.
