A woman is raped every 17 seconds in South Africa and research shows a lot of these incidents involve drinks being spiked whilst out with friends enjoying your Friday or a fun girls nout out.
Ogilvy & Mather have worked on a campaign with South African breweries to create an awareness campaign of self drug tests they have branded “Spike Dectectors”. Whilst this is an amazing initiative, we still need to root out the culprit of such mentality that rape and taking advantage of anyone with or without being “spiked” is not okay.
The video starts with a single mom pushing her little boy on a swing, the son has no idea who his father is because he was a coward of man who talk advantage of a woman whose drink may have been spiked.
