H&M Opens in South Africa

H|H Wedding Planning & Co-Ordination 3

H&M is at the frontier along with a slew of other brands to enter our beloved South Africa.

Following the likes of Zara, Forever 21, Miu Miu and TopShop to name a few it is absolutely riveting to see how local markets and retailers, the like of Foschini Group and the revamped MrP respond to yet another arrival of a Big Name in the apparel industry.

“We are very happy to finally open our first store in South Africa and bring our future customers what H&M is known for the world over — fashion and quality at the best price in a sustainable way,” Pär Darj, Country Manager for H&M South Africa was quoted saying.

H&M has expanded over the past decade and now have 3 300 stores across 54 countries with a growth target to increase its number of stores by 10 to 15% per year.

“One of the first in Sub-Saharan Africa, this is certainly a coup for the V&A Waterfront, and is in line with our strategy to be first to market with new and different retailers to broaden our current retail offering and keep it relevant for our visitors,” says David Green, V&A Waterfront CEO.

October 17 2015 sees the opening of H&M Waterfront with late night extended shopping hours promised.

We are awaiting a Press Release and hopefully a sneaky invite to the VIP launch party for further details.

Until then, best start saving Skat!

With the change of seasons nearing I foresee a mix of Fall and Spring/Summer items hitting our shelves.

Other than that we don’t really need  a reason to post pictures of Becks in Briefs. Do we?
