New Look Maison & Four Coursemen Collaboration series

Maison has undergone a sort refurb and

is offering something special starting this Spring.

One of my favourite winelands escapes for all things epicurian from small batch wines, farm to fork food and interior inspiration from in-house, family run Weylandts and now a four course curated collaboration entitled “Four Courseman”

On Thursday 28 September see the inaugural of these dinners at The Kitchen at Maison, the Eat Out 2016 top ten restaurant at Maison Estate in the Franschhoek Valley, will host the first of The Four Coursemen Collaboration series, where four renowned chefs will be showcasing their culinary skills, to celebrate Spring in the Cape Winelands.

Eric Bulpitt from Faber restaurant at Avondale Wine Estate in Paarl, Chris Erasmus from Foliage in Franschhoek, and Michelle Theron from Pierneef à La Motte Restaurant, also in Franschhoek, will join chef Arno Janse van Rensburg at The Kitchen at Maison, to provide an evening of food and wine to remember.

Each event will see the chefs delighting palates with canapes and four courses paired with wines, and the host chef will prepare the main course.

Chef Arno was unable to give us even a hint of what he will be preparing, as he says:

“I will be using locally sourced fresh ingredients, and we will have to see what our gardens at Maison have on offer.”

It will be interesting to see how the four of us work together in each other’s kitchens, and to see how each of our dishes complement the others.

Chef collaborations are an excellent way for us to share and experience other ways of doing things in the kitchen.”

Each event will be limited to 40 guests,

Cost is R 720 per person.

Includes four canapes, four courses paired with wine, and service fee.

The other events in the series will be held at:

  • Foliage on 22 October
  • Pierneef a la Motte on 10 November
  • Faber on 24 November.

Make a reservation with the restaurant to ensure your chance to experience this gourmet feast.
