South African Menswear Week AW17

South African Menswear Week AW17 25

South African Menswear Week  is around the corner…

And this season’s venue is The Palms in Woodstock, a striking industrial space and I envision grande ramps, endless runways will fill this new locale and beautiful boys in wintry wear..

——

Winter, our favorite season because it means texture, layered garments and and an excuse to be over-dressed for any occasion and a simple slip of the tongue “it’s Winter, dahling” and all is forgiven.

This year’s line up sees some of our favorite African artisans, Abrantie The Gentleman, Martelle Ludek, Rosey & Vitorri, Kim Gush, Merwe Mode and off course the anticipated invite only show of Jahn Koy

RICH MNISI // RAW COAT

Rich Mnisi’s garmets are young at heart and explore the treasures engraved within Africa and the world of modern culture and heritage to tell the unique stories of then, now and soon.

All  packaged in extremist yet minimalist structures which take design and craftsmanship as the first and foremost motivation.
