One of the most anticipated winter specials on my and I imagine many other foodies calendars is the moment Mari and chef Henri of La Mouette in Sea Point announce their highly sought after winter tasting menus a steal at R395 for S I X courses, also available with a fantastic wine pairing per course. Get in my belly!!!
I love that Chef Henri’s food is creative with great flavours but still approachable and not pretentious. The restaurant decor is super,always romantic and cozy making it the perfect date night venue and with the winter special you can go all out and have seven courses and still feel like you have enough cash left to book a night at a hotel near by and run a bubble bath!
You’ll also soon realize, that no one makes better croquettes and they’re on EVERY tasting menu, and we’re not complaining!
