A FRESH WAVE AT CHEF’S WAREHOUSE TINTSWALO ATLANTIC

Chefs Warehouse Tintswalo Atlantic

Chefs Warehouse at Tintswalo Atlantic is stirring things up with a new addition to their culinary family. Amidst the cool ocean breeze and the rhythmic crash of the Atlantic waves, Cameron Smith is ready to don the title of Head Chef at this beloved oceanside restaurant.

Our outgoing maestro, Braam Beyers, isn’t disappearing; he’s simply swapping his regular kitchen whites for a travel-sized spice kit. Beyers is off to Europe for what can best be described as a grand ‘culinary expedition.’ We’re excited to see what international flavours he’ll bring back to spice up our future dining experiences!

Now, let’s focus on our incoming culinary captain, Cameron Smith. This Eastern Cape native first set his sights on the world of finance, only to find his true passion simmering away in the catering industry during his studies in Cape Town. One thing led to another, and he traded his finance textbooks for the Culinary Arts at the SA Chef’s Academy.

Over the next seven years, Smith sharpened his culinary skills at some of South Africa’s top-notch dining establishments. His journey saw him mastering the ropes under accomplished chefs at La Colombe, La Petit Colombe, Protégé, and then as Head Chef at Le Petit Manoir. During the pandemic, his resilience shone as he managed Le Petit Manoir’s Deli and even prepared meals for the local soup kitchen.

Fast forward to 2023, and Smith is all set to team up with Chef Patron Ivor Jones. They’ll be stirring, sautéing, and serving at CW Tintswalo Atlantic, promising a dining experience that fuses excellent cuisine with breathtaking ocean views and a tastefully designed dining space.

The transition has been as smooth as a perfectly whisked béchamel sauce, with Chef Beyers and Smith sharing the kitchen to ensure a seamless handover.

So, what’s in store for your palate?

Smith’s new menu draws inspiration from the stormy seas and chilly winds of the Cape. Expect a celebration of fresh, local, and sustainable ingredients, served with a dash of South Africa’s vibrant culinary heritage. The upcoming season promises a menu rich in comforting dishes that’ll warm your heart while you enjoy the ocean’s spectacle.

Prepare to embark on a culinary voyage with Chef Cameron Smith, where every bite tells a story.
