Look Inside: Singita Sabora Tented Camp

The nine tented suites of the camp still remain the basic elements of a romantic safari under canvas.

Subtle design elements and decor fuse perfectly with creativity and contemporary cultural identity on the continent; hand-stitched leather finishings, durable linens and furnishings for campaigns reflect the spirit of traditional East African adventures.

The sophisticated esthetic of the camp is inspired by the wilderness, which is conceived by Singita’s design partners, Cécile and Boyd and GAPP Architects. The textures and tones include the touches of brown leather, thick beige stitching, mesh and fabric throughout and feature silly taupe, tan and beige.

Profoundly renovated facilities such as private meditation decks and secluded open-air rooms with shaded beds allow visitors to spend lingering evenings reading, watching the game fly by and plunging themselves into awe-inspiring views of the Serengeti. Each vision, sound, and scent is intensified with nothing distinguishing it from the rolling grasslands.
