Diarise this: Lunch at Brightside Farm with Chef James Diack

Melville's The Federal is Now La Stalla 6

Chef James Diack, owner of the Brightside Group of restaurants, is inviting fans of his farm-fresh fare to join him for lunch at Brightside Farm on Sunday 24 November 2019.

Tickets are limited to 60 people and pre-booking is essential – R750 gets you transport, a five-course lunch and wine courtesy of Anthonij Rupert Wyne.

Diack, who owns Coobs (Parkhurst), Il Contadino (Parktown North), Douglas + Hale (Parktown North) and La Stalla (Melville) has never hosted an event of this nature, and limited seats are available for the incredible opportunity. The farm, which supplies his restaurants with 95% of their ingredients, is functional and beautiful – flowers abound, and they are all edible. – it makes for a picture-perfect setting for a year-end Sunday lunch.

“The farm is central to our business and our everyday life, and we get loads of requests to visit, but we have to be respectful of the animals and plants we have there – that’s why we’re keeping it small,” says James. “And, we’ve partnered with Anthonij Rupert Wyne to make sure our guests have a spectacular day of food and wine at the farm.”

For the lunch, James will be preparing a farm-fresh lunch of five courses which will served under the trees in the ambling gardens of Brightside Farm in the Magaliesburg. For the wine, guest will enjoy Cape of Good Hope and Jean Roi Rosè – both Premium wines from the Anthonij Rupert Wyne portfolio.
