Paarl Winter Specials
Faber
Until 31 August, you can enjoy a set three-course winter menu for R298 or R378 with two glasses of Jonty’s Ducks wine. The winter special includes a welcome drink, bread board and a side, and is available for lunch and dinner.
Somerset West Winter Specials
Restaurant Seven
Look forward to a daily three course set menu special for R295 per person (excluding oysters, sides, beverages and gratuity). The weekly changing menu includes a set starter, choice of mains, and a set dessert. They’re also have Free Flow Friday with Waterkloof wines where you can enjoy a four-course tasting menu with free flow Waterkloof Revenant white or red for R380 per person (excluding water and other beverages).
This special is available Monday to Friday for dinner between 18:00 and 20:30.
Steffanie’s Place
Every Tuesday and Thursday, you can order two mains for the price of one. The only catch is that on the nights when this special runs, you won’t be able to bring your own drinks.
Cavalli Estate
While the menu at Cavalli changes every month to incorporate seasonal ingredients, the restaurant is offering a special set menu for winter. The menu comprises six courses for just R350. If you’d like to pair your dishes with Cavalli wine, it’ll cost R425.
Stellenbosch Winter Specials
Clos Malverne
Sure, the farm is known for its ice cream and wine pairings, but there are warm options on the restaurant’s menu too, ideal for cold days. The three-course autumn set menu costs R448 per person, while four courses cost R538 per person, including wine and a welcome drink.
Terroir
Enjoy a two-course option at R295 per person or three courses at R395 per person. This price also includes two glasses of Kleine Zalze Vineyard Selection wines served with the starter and main courses. Vegetarian diners are also well taken care of this winter, with chef Michael Broughton’s hand rolled tagliatelle, truffle sauce with aubergine chips, basil and Jerusalem artichoke.
The winter special offer is valid from 2 May to 30 September 2019, for both lunch and dinner (max 10pax per booking).
Please note that Terroir will be closed for their annual winter break from 17 June 2019 and re-opening on 10 July 2019.

Vadas Smokehouse & Bakery
Located on the Spier Wine Farm, Vadas Smokehouse & Bakery invites you to leave the comfort of your warm home for some discounted comfort food. Just for winter, you receive 50% off the chef’s platter, which comprises eight carefully selected dishes (at R200 per person). The special is available from Mondays to Saturdays.
Helena’s Restaurant
Enjoy a hearty three-course winter meal for R365 per person. Dishes on the special menu include a double-baked cheese and courgette soufflé, seafood bisque, risotto with fresh wild mushrooms, pan-seared Norwegian salmon, braised shoulder of Karoo lamb, and malva pudding.
Jardine Restaurant
Jardine Restaurant is offering two five-course menus for the price of one for R680 per couple (excluding wine and other beverages).
The special is available Tuesday to Saturday nights from May to September.
Bookings are essential for 18:00, 18:30 or 19:00 seatings.
Jordan
Winter in the winelands is spectacular, especially when you get to dine at award-winning restaurants for less. Until the end of September you can take advantage of the restaurant’s winter special: two five-course menus with wine pairing for the price of one (R995 per couple).
The special is available on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 6.30pm or 7pm only.
Franschhoek Winter Specials
The Dining Room at Leeu Estates
The Dining Room at Leeu Estate is offering a three-course meal for R350 per person (including a glass of Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines). The menu includes smoked snoek bitterballen, angel hair leeks and aïoli; beef bourguignon with bacon, mushrooms, red wine, and creamy mash. Finish the meal off with twice-baked chocolate and croissant pudding with crème.
Tuk Tuk Microbrewery
Enjoy tasty tacos (dipping board) every Tuesday at Tuk Tuk Microbrewery for R150 per portion. They also have a soup special every Thursday for R120 per portion to keep you warm this winter.
La Petite Colombe
Enjoy a four-course lunch meal at La Petite Colombe for R450 per person (R835 with wine pairing). This special is available from Monday to Sunday (including public holidays) for lunch only. Highlights from the menu include fresh West Coast oyster, gazpacho, coriander, jalapeno and shiso starter; beef fillet, braised cheek , swede, truffled kale, porcini and wild garlic reduction; and Valrhona caraibe, pumpkin, cocoa nib, orange and pecan. This special is valid until 31 August 2019.
