The above was posted on facebook earlier today, welcomed news since announcing their sale of the Original Schoon de Companjie to Boschendal in February this year.

More small-style outlets are set to follow the Somerset West launch, with Stellenbosch not forgotten.

“We promise we are coming back,”

says Fritz,

“and we will re-open in Stellies.

We are very excited about the plans we have in place.”

Also in the works is the SCHOON Manufactory – a creative space consisting of an experimental kitchen and grain-focused bakery and patisserie.

This will allow Fritz and Chanelle to nurture their ideas and continue growing in the commitment to producing world-class, quality food aimed at improving customer wellbeing.

Pity you don’t tell your clients beforehand that you don’t take cash. I made a special trip, in the rain, struggled to find parking only to find out in the shop that you don’t take cash
