“Dear friends of SCHOON,
We are delighted to officially announce the start of our new season, and the launch of our Somerset West store at 3 Bright Street. We look forward to seeing all the familiar faces again, and can’t wait to share the first fruits of our new adventure with you!
Pop in on Tuesdays – Fridays : 7h -15h. Saturdays: 8h – 15h, or Sundays: 8h- 13h30.
We will be closed on Mondays.
In the new spirit of things we are also closing our Facebook page, but look forward to connecting with you on Instagram (@schoon.eating) or via our website (www.schoon.co.za)
With thankful and expectant hearts,
Fritz & Chanelle.”
The above was posted on facebook earlier today, welcomed news since announcing their sale of the Original Schoon de Companjie to Boschendal in February this year.
More small-style outlets are set to follow the Somerset West launch, with Stellenbosch not forgotten.
“We promise we are coming back,”
says Fritz,
“and we will re-open in Stellies.
We are very excited about the plans we have in place.”
Also in the works is the SCHOON Manufactory – a creative space consisting of an experimental kitchen and grain-focused bakery and patisserie.
This will allow Fritz and Chanelle to nurture their ideas and continue growing in the commitment to producing world-class, quality food aimed at improving customer wellbeing.
Schoon Manufactory opened in June 2018
– see more about that here
We can not wait to break bread with Fritz and Fanny Chanelle, and Schoon is definitely a welcomed addition to Somerset West.
