We received the following from the Franschhoek Wine Tram Hospitality manager on Thursday 19 March 2020.
After receiving feedback from our partnering wine etstates in terms of the most recent regulations passed via Government and as a result of the COVID-19 the Franschhoek Wine Tram have issued new scheduled lines and times until further notice will be:
- Monday Blue/Green
- Tuesday Red/Yellow
- Wednesday Blue/Green
- Thursday Red/Yellow
- Friday Blue/Green
- Saturday Red/Yellow, Blue/Green
- Sunday Service closed
- Public Holidays Service closed
(As this Saturday 21st March 2020 falls on a public holiday, we will be closed)

- 01 May 2020 (Friday)
Lines closed due to multiple estate closures: Purple | Orange | Grey | Pink.
The above lines Include farms; Boschendal, Allee Bleue, Plaisir de Merle, Solms Delta, Babylonstoren, Noble Hill, Backsberg, Eikehof, Vrede & Lust, Paserene, Leopards Leap, Le Lude, Haute Cabriere & Moreson.
To keep in time with ongoing coordinated developments we are continuing to run our service but strictly within the guidelines that have been laid down by the latest Government instructions and not to so-called un-coordinated independent experts who create panic.
We have taken extra precautionary measure with temperature measurements, sanitisers, washing of hands and spraying on all our vehicles.
In the meantime, we have decided to limit our buses with no more than 15 guests per departure.
