Planning The Perfect NYE Party

There’s no place like home, right? No night does this ring truer than on New Year’s Eve. If heading out to a sweaty, overpacked club is your idea of a good time, we’re here to push the cause of welcoming in the New Year at home.

Planning is Key

Create your Menu
For the most fuss-free menu, a buffet will work best. Ask your guests to arrive around 21:00pm and ask them to bring their favourite side dish and bottle of wine. This will help you with prepping and leave the mains up to you. As it’s probably going to be a late night, ensure the dishes are hearty and, carb-loaded, preferably.

Drink Up!
What is a New Year’s celebration without bubbles? Whether your guests prefer the alcoholic variety or not, treat your guests to a sophisticated sparkling wine bar. Set up champagne coolers filled with chilled bottles, beautiful glasses and mixers like fruit juice so guests can create their own drinks.

Consider the decor
Christmas Day may be over, but that doesn’t mean the festive decorating has to end. Do away with the traditional tinsel and gold sparkling ornaments and replace them with more trans-seasonal decorations like pillar candles and lush foliage. We suggest filling an oversized vase with lush greenery for your centrepiece and accessorize with moody candlelight.
