Meet Pigcasso
If you haven’t heard of Pigcasso, it’s time to get your head out of the pork chop! She’s the World-famous painting pig that resides in Franschhoek right next to what was the Oscars Arc Adoption Centre!
She’s sold her artworks all around the World and even designed the 2019 Swatch Watch!
The Initiative

OK, so I know what you’re thinking. What’s an 800kilo pig got to do with dog adoption? Ah, thanks for asking. The answer? Oh la, la – EVERYTHING!
I had a chat with the heavy-weight Abstract Expressionist last week because Oscars Arc needed a helping ‘Hoof’ with the moolah during these challenging times – and she graciously obliged.105 bananas and a bowl of pasta later, she walked towards the canvas, grabbed the brush and painted this Masterpiece.
An adopted dog with a whisker – believe it! She then dipped her nose in beetroot ink and signed it – that’s the red smudge on the top left side of the painting. Once the paint had dried, she handed it over to me with one instruction: Produce 17 Limited Edition Prints and sell them to raise funds for Oscars Arc!
Pigcasso being the boss around here, I jumped at her command and here it is, art connoisseurs – DOG WITH A WHISKER!
The Details
The Pigcasso prints are large like a Labrador! (900 x 700) and individually numbered and signed.
Each Pigcasso comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and you will also receive the video of Pigcasso painting the artwork.
This way, you’ll be able to prove to your friends that ‘Yes, a pig really did that – look here!’
How to get your whiskered dog hanging on your wall? Simply donate R1900 into the bank details (The bank account is Nedbank Acc # 1108154662) below and email the POP, along with your name, address and preferred number of print to director@oscarsarc.org and the pig will fly right in.
